They say the information superhighway was the great leveler. That it made an equal playing field for everyone and in the case of traveling that has definitely proven itself to be true. With the widespread access to the Internet that is enjoyed things like a last minute deal on travel became possible because there was a way to get the message out to the people en masse. In fact once the travel industry figured out it didn’t have to just let vacant hotel rooms, resorts, airplane seats and etc. just sit without making income they readily made them available to a waiting public.
