I recently purchased this Romertopf Round Clay Bread Pan for my wife as she is getting into bread baking in order to give us a healthy alternative to processed breads. Well she absolutely loves the pan and I love the smell of the fresh bread cooking. I bought this particular pan because it has a very unique look that I knew my wife would really appreciate. My wife tells me that Romertopf clay is supposed to be a very old way of cooking for more traditional breads, and judging from the bread she has been making they clearly had it right back then as the crust is perfect!
There is something special about having fresh homemade bread served up in one of these pans, I appreciate it far more than I thought I would, and my wife is happy. Who could ask for more? This bread baking pan is the perfect size for a good sized round loaf of bread for a small dinner party or gathering. The price was really good for such a high quality clay pan and it looks and feels much more expensive,. It’s definitely one of the best gifts I’ve bought in years.
